Citilink Seek Public Input on Prposed Service Updates
Citilink is seeking Community feedback on two proposed service updates currently under review. Over the past 13 years, Fort Wayne has experience significant changes in development, employment centers, housing patterns and travel needs. As the city countines to evovle, citilnk must ensure that transit service envovles with it.
Citilink is Currently reviewing two Potenial Updates:
Route 15/Route 21 Combination- 21 MedLink. Citilink is proposing to combine Route 15 and Route 21 Into a single route Called 21 MedLink. These routes currently severe many of the same areas and have some of the lowest ridership in the Citilink System. Combining them allows Citilink to reduced overlapping service while maintaining access to Key destinations such as Medical Faciltlties, housing areas and retail centers.
Citilink is also worrking with Parntership with Parkview Health to support continued access to Medical services along this route while montioring performance over time. The proposed route would also strngthen connections with other citilnik Routes. Route 21 would meet with Route 4 Wells/Ludwig at :40 past the hour at Cross Creek at Kelsey Court (Behind Mejier). It would also connect with Route 8 Glenbrook/Northrop on Westfield near BioLife, ensuring transfer wait times at that stop of approximately 15 Minutes or less during Peak hours.
Route 8 Schedule Adjustment for Route 8 Glenbrook/Northrop and Calhoun/Southtown.
This change would better aligin the route with other citilink Services to improve timed connections at Central Station and Make transfers easier for riders traveling across the network
Two Separate Proposals: These proposals address different operational Needs and are indepenant of each other. They are being presented at the same public meeting so community members can review both and provide feedback.

Community feedback is an important part of the process. Riders and residents are encourgaed to attend, review the proposals, ask questions, and share input before final decisions are made. They are taking feedback on these proposals through April 3,2026.
